Peek a Blue

For those of you who have been following along, I fell in mad shoe lust with these bright blue YSL peep toe pumps (posted about here).  I searched high and low but only found the shoe in navy instead of the super bright electric blue.  Thanks to a tip from a lovely reader,  I did get oh so close at Barney's in Copley but alas, the heel was a bit lower and thinner and for the price tag, I wanted what I wanted.  Meanwhile I found these Pour la Victoire Irina pumps that look quite like the Brian Atwood maniac but could fill the missing spot in my shoe wardrobe that would have been filled with the YSLs.

Pour la Victoire Irina pump
This morning I thought, go bold and bright or go home.  Wearing bright orange and blue together will forever bring me back to the days decades ago when I spent part of my formative years at college in Gainesville, Florida.
Zara top, RED Valentino pants
Despite reminiscing about my days as a Gator, the bright orange and blue didn't really feel collegiate.  It felt bright and happy instead.  Aside from the color, I'm digging the super long length and the flared leg of these trousers.  For anyone who is tall, RED Valentino pants are great because they are very long.  I'm 5'9", wearing 5" heels and this length is after having the pants hemmed.

Coach necklace, YSL arty ring
I was bejeweled with a Coach necklace and YSL ring.

Zara jacket, Chanel pin, Tiziana handbag

It was still chilly out this morning so I topped it with my Zara jacket and added more orange with a Tiziana handbag.

  3. I love love love your concept of color blocking! I love your YSL pumps and I must say that I really love your red Valentino pants. Your orange purse is to die for! I typically don't like orange since it's a hard color to match or wear in general(my opinion) BUT you pull it off well.

  6. I LOVE that you wear bright colors so often! Boston needs a shot of color to liven things up. And those pants (and shoes) are fabulous!
