Obsessed and Tickled Pink

I've mentioned before that I'm on the hunt for a new bag (or two).  I've narrowed it down to either the Givenchy Nightingale or the Miu Miu Matelasse.

Right now the Miu Miu is the front runner and I really like this light grey color.  Love the ruched leather.  Love the hardware.  Love the braided strap.

On top of the Miu Miu, I'm absolutely obsessed with the pearl embellished Lady Dior.  I was sitting on a bench in the Copley Mall today in front of the Dior store and this bag was staring at me, taunting me.  "Buy me, love me".  I may have to rescue this little number.

Bag madness aside,  I'm craving spring clothes and I'm finding myself drawn to pink.  It started a few weekends ago in Saks when I spotted and tried on a hot pink RED Valentino coat with a big bow in front.  Sadly I don't have a picture of it but I've been dreaming of it for weeks.

I'm loving this pink tweed Marc Jacobs jacket and I would wear this with just about anything.

This pink Miu Miu top with crepe de chine straps is truly fantastic and is a perfect spring and summer staple.

And don't let me forget my absolute preoccupation with these studded t-strap Valentino kitten heels.  I know, I know, Cathy Horyn said she needs never see another stud.  But I'm a child of the 80s and in or out, I will always be betrothed to anything bestudded.

Lust or Must?

I love the Mulberry Alexa bag but I also know that it's not inexpensive.  Doesn't this Talbots version give it a good run for its money?

I die for these Valentino lace booties but they are over $1000 which is steep. But this Ann Taylor version is just under $200.

Every girl needs a good pair of flats especially the Chanel ballet variety but with a $500+ price tag, they're certainly not affordable. Instead give these rose gold Ann Taylor flats a try.

I can totally picture myself prancing around town in this Miu Miu printed fur collar coat but at over $1700 I don't think I can swing it. This Top Shop coat would do the trick and for a sliver of the price!

Tell Me About It, Stud

Studs!

Since my teenage years in the 80s, I've been a sucker for anything bedazzled or studded.  Here are some modern versions of bestudded shoes and bags that I love.  I especially covet the Valentino t-strap numbers.

H&M Trend Watch

I make regular trips into H&M since I'm forever on the lookout for inexpensive trend items.  On the most recent trip, here's what I found.

Military galore!  But my pick was this jacket that I'm donning below.

And by the way,  saleswomen in both Chanel and in Saks commented on it.  For me, I don't want to spend a lot on something so trendy and this jacket was only $65.

The other good H&M find was a fantastic trench coat.  I had eyed this one back in the spring by RED Valentino.

Vixen in Venom!

J Brand pencil wax coated jeans in venom wash

OK so I may be the furthest thing from a vixen but boy, these J brand wax denim jeans in venom are hot, hot, hot.  I'm looking forward to donning these hot little numbers with my new bright, bright blue Mulberry booties that I posted about here.

Pair hot waxed jeans with bright blue booties.  Give the look a classic twist with a trusty Chanel bag.  Top with a fun T and tweed blazer like the Red Valentino bow t shirt and the Smythe one above and you're ready for fall.  Now add that Smythe blazer to my wish list!
