Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nothing Gold Can Stay, one of Robert Frost's most well known poems, starts "Nature's first green is gold, her hardest hue to hold". Well I certainly know that first hand. My beloved gold Chanel bag had lost its gold luster and was looking oh so dingy and drab. In dire need of some spiffing up, off I trotted to the Chanel store on Newbury Street back in July to send it out for repair and refurbishing.
Fast forward to today, I FINALLY got the call that my bag was back. And the utter delight at how bright and luminous my bag looked overcame my annoyance that it took eleven weeks to get back to me. It might be so that in nature nothing gold can stay, but in Chanel, gold lives forever.
